Hard Surface & Organic Modelling

For Educational Research Only, Not for Profit

In my second ever Maya class I was tasked with assembling a vehicle from photo reference, paying attention to small details and making sure they were built correctly. It was very challenging and many points along the way I was learning new techniques and finding more efficient ways of creating things. The vehicle I chose was the Ford Model A Tudor that was on display at the California Automobile Museum in Sacramento, CA. It was great to see the quality and components that this car was made from and designed with. Even though it was difficult to create I am proud of the final product and it is another step forward in my design career!

3D Principles

For Educational Research Only, Not for Profit

This is my final work of art from the very first 3D Maya class I've ever taken. It was fun learning all the tools that are needed to create something and to actually see that I was able to make something so well is inspiring. I played around with a few advanced tools like the water and other effects as well as lighting to create an interesting look.

3D Animation

For Educational Research Only, Not for Profit

This 3D animation was very enjoyable to work on. I used a room that I created in my first Maya class to have as a setting for this video. Learning the process of animating a character in 3D was a challenge compared to 2D animation drawings. There are tools to help speed the process but it takes time just the same to make it right. Many of the other animation skills and tools I learned in Maya will certainly come in handy down the road for many more projects.

2D Animation

For Educational Research Only, Not for Profit

This is a 2D animation that incorporates some of the 12 principles of animation. Although animation is not my main focus of study it was fun to learn the process and see what I could make using the knowledge and tools at my disposal.
